The Speech Box two-way speaker unit, made for the PowerMaxPro and PowerMaxComplete control panels, extends communication abilities ( i.e. Voice Notifications and Two-Way Voice Communication), to remote locations across the home. Occupants can now be notified of a status changes as well as converse with their central monitoring station, from areas within the home, where microphones and the panel's built-in speakers can not reach.
The larger the home, the harder it is, to ensure that you will be notified of all events logged by your security system. The result of only one missed event can be far worse than just being left vulnerable. This is why it is a necessity for those with security systems to be able to easily hear, and if needed have two-way communication, from any location in the secured area. Without the ability to communicate or verify alarm activations remotely, away from the panel, the home owner will never obtain a security system impervious to failure.
Note: To use the Speech Box with PowerMaxComplete, the Zones Expander module must be installed (zones expander is sold separately). To use the Speech Box with PowerMax PRO, the Speech Box interface kit for PowerMaxPRO must be installed (Speech Box interface kit is sold separately).When the control panel's siren or piezo is activated the speech box will be disabled.

Parents can give themselves piece of mind knowing that they can listen-in on the kids playing in their rooms, or an elderly relative knapping in a bedroom on the other side of the house. The rest of the family can take advantage of these units by using them to create an in-home intercom system as well. The units themselves have manual volume controls and a tamper feature which will cause the main panel to sound the alarm and log the event. The Speech Box two-way speaker must be located somewhere within a 20m (66 Foot) cable distance from the PowerMaxPro or the PowerMaxComplete control panels. Mount the Speech box to any wall or convenient flat surface.
