More Info
|
This Photoelectric Smoke Detector senses smoke and provides early warning of developing fire by sounding an alarm with its built-in alarm horn, and by transmitting a coded alarm signal to a compatible wireless alarm control panel. To ensure secure communication, the Photoelectric Smoke Detector's transmissions use a PowerCode 24-bit ID command code, which is selected from 16 million possible combinations and is therefore virtually impossible to accidentally reproduce. A smart anti-collision algorithm prevents signal jamming by simultaneous transmissions from multiple devices.
The Photoelectric Smoke Detector transmits supervisory reports, including battery condition, to your wireless control panel or receiver (sold separately) at regular intervals, ensuring system integrity and functionality at all times. A rear tamper protection switch is mounted under the PC board. Removal of the unit from the bracket will cause the switch contacts to open, creating a tamper event, which will be reported by the transmitter to the control panel.
Install the Photoelectric Smoke Detector as close to the center of the ceiling or as high up on the wall as possible. The detector should be tested weekly.
