Essential Info

If you have a Smarthome SecureLinc Home Security System set up in your home, you can mount a wireless keypad by your main entrance for easy arming/disarming and programming purposes. The Wireless 2-Way Keypad can be set up by any entry to your home, where it communicates your commands wirelessly to the main unit, and it also receives status reports from the SecureLinc, so you'll know at a glance at the keypad's two-line LCD screen if any events occurred while you were out.

Easy Control of Multiple Connected Devices
Use the Wireless 2-Way Keypad to arm/disarm your alarm system, to initiate emergency/fire/panic alarms and to turn lighting devices on and off. This indoor multi-button wireless two-way keypad uses two-way encrypted coded transmission to the main SecureLinc unit, and it also provides aural and visual indications for easy confirmation. Since this keypad operates independently, a burglar can damage it without affecting the main system. In fact, if you program the system to contact you in the event of a breach, it will alert you instantly if an intruder removes the keypad from the wall or damages it.

    Flexible Power Options
The Wireless 2-Way Keypad may be operated either by AC power or batteries (both included). If AC power is used, the device operates continuously, and the system status is constantly updated. If powered by batteries, the keypad enters sleep mode 15 seconds after the last key press, instantly becoming operational again upon any key press. If you choose to use AC power, the included batteries will provide backup power in case of an outage.

This product does not work and have rescinded my order as a result. I'm surprised that it is still on the market given that the KeyPad Comm. Failure problems have been known for years.
    WILLIAM -- uncasville, CT   3/25/2012
This device will not enroll with my Visonic ProwerMax Pro.
    BRANDON P. -- dundalk, MD   1/19/2012
I should have got this years ago for PowerMax+ alarm system. I have this mounted by the front door and I relocated the main alarm system in a closet about 30feet away. It’s much smaller than the bulkier alarm unit. Works great, I haven’t had any signal problems that other people are talking about.
    WILLIAM -- burnsville, MN   11/18/2011
Does the job, but I wish it would do more with the voice like the main unit does, and had the sensors for the proximity tags like the main unit.
MARGY -- west hills, CA   4/28/2011
Your service has been terrific. The keypad arrived quicker than I expected, but unfortunately, my system could not handle a third keypad. I returned it and was swiftly credited on my charge account. Your service is fantastic! Thanks.
    RAY -- brodheadsville, PA   2/20/2011
Works as advertised, easy setup. The backlight setup is a little confusing.
    EDWARD -- sicamous, BC   9/19/2010
Keeps giving a tamper alarm with the littlest vibration, even just opening the number cover. Wall anchors are cheap and just go into the wall board. This keypad is useless and I removed it.
    ERIC -- dubuque, IA   4/11/2010
Only just installed but everything seems functional. Haven't used on a regular basis yet.
    JEFFREY -- shrewsbury, MA   5/4/2009
One device came with tamper alarm malfunction. I'm waiting foe the replacement.
    DAVID -- boise, ID   9/18/2007
Works almost as hoped...doesn't give status reports like the main unit does. It sure is nice to silence the main unit though.
    Bill D. -- Minnesota   10/24/2011
I would like to say it was a simple install, but I can't. Get your own wall anchors for the mounting screws. The included wall anchors for sheetrock are next to useless. The unit is installed on the upper floor of a split-level house, with the main unit on the floor below about 10 feet over as opposed to directly above/below each other. Signal quality is poor and I'm getting messages saying communications have failed. I've already moved the keypad twice, and I've made note of where the HVAC duct work is in the house and made sure that the keypad was not in a location obstructed by duct work on the third try. I've found a spot that seems to work, though I find that if I'm standing in front of teh keypad while using it, it gets a communication failure so I have to stand to the side even though the main panel is on the floor below me and behind the keypad I'm using, so I'm not in the way of teh signal. It's a decent unit though and does the job it's designed for. I'm just little put off by the apparently weak radio signal on this unit, especially when I look at how much I paid for it.
Rob -- campbell river, BC   9/28/2011
Works extremely well when plugged in - will even give the voice arming/disarming messages when you click the wireless keyfob. It can run on batteries, but goes into sleep mode quickly and won't come out unless you push a button, and even the I had to replace them within a year. Fortunately, I was able to wire it without it being too conspicuous. Also, the wall anchors like on the rest of the Visonic stuff are useless - get some screw in drywall anchors or zinc stud-solvers instead.
    LENORE -- ogden, UT   3/2/2007
Installed very easily and works very much like the primary panel. The power supply which shipped did not fit the contacts on the circuit board, but the CR123 batteries will probably power it for years anyway.
