Essential Info

Monitor doors, windows, gun cases, jewelry boxes, or just about anything that opens and closes. The Wireless Magnetic Door / Window Contact Sensor is a protective device that can send notification when the opening and closure of doors and windows occurs. It is designed to send a wireless signal to a compatible home security system when the contact between the transmitter and corresponding magnetic sensor is broken. Additionally, an LED light illuminates whenever the magnetic contact is broken. An Anti-collision algorithm prevents signal jamming by simultaneous transmission from multiple devices. This wireless sensor is powered by a 3.6 V Lithium CR-2-type battery, included, that typically lasts about three years. A weak battery will transmit a message during any status report the system completes.

    SEAN -- bellaire, TX   11/30/2009
Easy to set up. Didn't realize that a tamper signal is initiated even when the system is disarmed until the system started making phone calls while I attempted to shut it down to change one of the jumper switches inside.
    JOSHUA -- boise, ID   11/18/2009
A little on the bulky side but no other complaints.
    PATRICK J -- abingdon, MD   8/29/2009
I've been using these contacts for 6 years now. They are consistent performers!
    EUGENE -- henderson, NC   8/20/2009
Very easy to install except on mobile home sliding glass door where you couldn't put screws. Some heavy-duty double-sided mounting tape seems to have solved that problem.
    RICHARD -- philadelphia, PA   8/6/2009
Contacts are very large, much larger than the normal contacts with other systems.Directions were unclear on assembling and installing the diode if needed.
JAY -- high springs, FL   6/12/2009

DOUGLAS -- white river jct, VT   3/13/2009
fine - except the battery is not the same part as the older models of the same switch. CR2 new/TL5902 old.
    MARC -- portland, OR   2/26/2009
works perfectly as expected. easy to configure
    D O -- laurinburg, NC   1/31/2009
Small, sensitive, easy to install. Much better than any previous mag. contact I've had.
    PHILLIP -- georgetown, MA   1/2/2009
very easy to install and so far have had no problems.
Dave -- Southeastern North Carolina   12/20/2008
VERY easy to install, and to configure to system. This unit is MUCH smaller than those in the system I had in my last house, at the same time it is much more sensitive and less likely to give trouble codes or require bypassing; clearly improved technology. The SecureLink system was simple to set up, and works well.
    TYLER -- frederica, DE   12/4/2008
very easy to add to the existing security system
    DAVE -- sayville, NY   10/23/2008
very good but still kind of big
    CHUNG -- bangor, ME   8/18/2008
it would be nice to include shims for mounting doorways that have thick molding framing the door
    LUCYNA -- kalamazoo, MI   5/22/2008
I have to rate as poor due to the SmartHome system is NOT user friendly for installation and use. I Severly regret purchasing this system
    ERIC -- seattle, WA   4/3/2008
    want more, good product
JARED -- west rushville, OH   3/27/2008
These pefectly. Now if you could just make the Alarm panel smaller.
    STEVEN -- friendswood, TX   3/23/2008
Magnetic contact is too visable and a model tha can be embeded in the edge of the door and in the door jam would be very nice addition to the product line.
