You don't need to push the buttons of your SecureLinc Wireless Security System alarm system right at the source in order to manage your system's parameters. Control all aspects of your system from a remote station using the Serial Cable 12-Pin Bus. The included software lets you manage your system from your computer easily and efficiently. Define zones, set telephone communications parameters, or set X10 specifications. The SecureLinc and all of its accessories are sold separately. The serial cable that comes with this kit is NOT compatible with the old SecureLinc VR Security Panel (#73902). To be used with the new SecureLinc Wireless Security System only. The Serial Cable 12-Pin Bus kit allows offline preparation of specifications, each of which is a set of parameters especially tailored for a particular SecureLinc II installation site, which is particularly convenient if you are working from a remote site where you can control several SecureLinc systems at different installation sites.
After you have prepared your parameters, you can download them into the SecureLinc control panel. Data is transferred to and from this remote programmer either locally through the included RS-232 serial data cable, or remotely via telephone lines and a modem. Just copy selected parameters and transfer the data to each system.
