Essential Info
A convenient feature of the Smarthome SecureLinc Home Security System is that in the event of a breach, it can seize your phone line to dial out for help. You can double your peace of mind by knowing that even if phone lines are down, your security system is still able to call you. Install the GSM Modem for Web-Enabled Security Kits, and your SecureLinc will be able to use a cellular line to dial out as a backup to your standard telephone line. For the many homes that no longer maintain a landline, the GSM Modem for Web-Enabled Security Kits allows operation over a cellular network instead of a telephone network. Just get a SIM card from your cell service provider. The SecureLinc is sold separately.

Receive Notification for Alarms or Non-Alarm EventsProgram your SecureLinc to call you at any private phone number using the GSM Modem, and you'll receive a pre-recorded message in your own voice in the event of an alert. The SecureLinc also supports 24-hour monitoring by commercial alarm monitoring personnel, who can dispatch police, fire or medical response (depending on the type of alert received). You can even set up the system to call you for non-alarm events. For example, want to know that your kids arrived home safely from school? The system can call you at the office to let you know that your child successfully disarmed the alarm.
Dial In to Activate Security or Automation SystemsWith a cellular or standard telephone line connected to your SecureLinc wireless security system, you'll be able to call in to activate any connected home appliances or to monitor your system. You can even arm the system over the phone.
Dual Reporting ProtectionThe GSM Modem and the SecureLinc periodically check the connection between them. When this connection is lost, both report a tamper alarm. If either unit is tampered with, the other unit reports the event. This dual reporting protection feature provides double the security for double the peace of mind.
