Why use surveillance cameras that record such low-quality images that you can't identify the perpetrator? This 1.3 megapixel camera offers up to 1280 x 1024 resolution, so you should be able to clearly make out facial features, license plate numbers, and other details lost in the fuzz with lesser cameras. The H.264 codec yields fluid motion even with limited bandwidth. You can even view the camera's images live from your browser-enabled cell phone or PC. Two-way audio capability lets you speak live to whomever is in your field of view; use this at your front door to give instructions to visitors, or in a sensitive area to tell an intruder that you've called the police and they're due to arrive any second.
Installation is simple: mount the camera, plug in power and Ethernet, then configure using your PC. If desired, connect an external speaker to enable two-way audio; the camera has a built-in microphone allowing you to listen in at the camera's location. The software included allows you to manage and view up to 16 cameras on one screen. Up to 10 users can connect to the camera simultaneously. The built-in motion detection function allows the camera to send you an email when events occur.
