Hands on Research
My wife and I just remodeled our home and installed hardwood throughout the home. I'm not sure what is more disgusting: how much litter my cat tracks around the house on the new floors or how much litter was embedded in my carpet that the vacuum would not pick up. To control this issue, I purchased the StiKitty Litter Mat. Our cat's box is in a closet, so she has one way to get in and out. I placed the mat at the entrance and it has significantly decreased the amount of litter she tracks outside the general area of her litter box (probably by 75%). The mat is sticky, but not fly paper sticky, so it won't freak out your cat. Each mat has 20 sticky pads, that you simply pull off when it gets too dirty. How long it will last will really be dependent on the amount of times your cat uses the litter box. I'm very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it to cat owners.
