The switches work great and the price is right. I had trouble determining how they work from the description. They are normally Open. When the magnet comes close, the switch closes. This is what you would want in a series loop in a security system. The switches remain closed until the magnet is more than one to two inches away from the switch. This is a lot for a switch like this. For my application, this large distance was desirable. I also like their small size. Unfortunately, the shipping charge was much more than the switch itself. I would think, with repackaging, it could be shipped cheaper. I bought 5 switches. This reduced the shipping cost per switch to slightly over $1 each. If you can use more than one, this helps reduce your price per switch since the shipping cost is the same. I would have given it 5 stars if the shipper could ship them cheaper.

Works great and is cheap, I just wish they shipped it in a bubble envelope instead of a big box with outrageous shipping costs.
