The Marshall 4090421 Major headphones are an advanced and hard working on-ear model. It encloses vast amounts of the massive Marshall legacy. The exterior of the headband is made out of the same vinyl used in Marshall amplifiers and it bears the original Marshall texture - besides being straight up dazzling. In addition to its good looks it incorporates quite a few exciting features. The built-in microphone and remote are for use with cell phones using a 3.5mm plug - or if your stereo or DJ system uses a 6.3mm (1/4") connection, simply attached the gold plate adapter. A neutral stereo plug is also included in case you mobile device doesn't use an unprotected two-way standard. With extreme comfort in mind, no matter how hard and heavy the music, the super soft cushions will rest lightly upon your ears. If you by chance would like to take The Major off of your head, they are foldable for easy storage and transportation. The Major is a solid workhorse with great stamina, designed with non-stop, all-day listening in mind. This product is also available in white.

For in-ear style headphones that offer the same comfort and clarity, but are better suited for someone on the go wit hand active daily lifestyle, consider using the Marshall Minor Headphones, available in black or white.

I tested these against several other headphones and found that the sound on these were awesome when compared to competition. From low volume to max volume on my mp3 player the sound clarity was the same, where most other brands lose clarity and start to crackle as volumes increase to higher levels. Outside of the sound, what I really loved was the feel of these headphones. They were extremely light, easily adjustable and soft on the ears. I tested the microphone and it worked as expected - however I would not expect to be using these as a headset. I will absolutely be taking these with me on any plane flight or extended road trip.
