Essential Info

Don't be satisfied by a tonal alert when your motion sensor is tripped. Whether you're awaiting visitors or deliveries or are seeking security for your home, swimming pool or construction site, the Reporter w/Voice alert system combines a wireless motion sensor with a built-in speaker that lets you talk with the person on the sensor's end, up to 1000 feet away, through a digitally clear and secure connection. The sensor is made of UV-hardened waterproof plastic that protects housing from deterioration. When movement is detected, an alert is sounded at the base station, which will allow you to listen through the sensor's wireless microphone for 10 seconds. You may also talk to the person on the sensor's end by pressing TALK on the base.

    More Info

    Both the sensor and base have relays, which can activate other electrical devices, such as louder alarm bells, lights or cameras (sold separately). The base station can work with up to eight sensors, each with a distinct tone to distinguish it from the others. These additional sensors are sold separately. The sensor runs on four AA batteries, and the base unit also requires four AA batteries for power backup in the event of a power outage. Batteries are sold separately. Extra receivers are also available for use in other areas of your home.

    The Reporter w/Voice consists of a motion sensor and a base unit. All mounting hardware for the sensor is included.

    This unit works well for my intended use. The only improvement would be able to adjust the sensitivity. It picked up activity far away.

    It would not transmit from the front of the house to the receiver in the house. If I put it in the garage with the door open was the only time it worked

    Works exactly as described. No false alarms and the adjustable alert level is pretty loud if you need it to be. (It would be nice to have an option for the alert to continue until someone went to the base unit.) We have a heavily wooded drive. I installed the sensor 4 feet up onto a large tree just within the advertised 1000' range and it's working flawlessly. You just have to make sure the sensor is installed so it has line of sight with the base unit. You can have many trees between the units but you cannot attach the sensor to the side of a tree that faces away from the base, especially if you are trying to make use of the 1000' range. The sound quality of the intercom is good enough and a nice addition. I was about to purchase the Reporter w/o voice but I read all of the reviews and decided against it. Seems like most of the customer concerns with that model were addressed and went into the development of the Reporter with Voice. Excellent product!

    For the price and how well this unit works ,I always let anyone know how they work. I keep an extra two loose for out camping .It's nice to have a set of eyes while you sleep.The battery time was about 10 months adding in cold weather drain.IT DID INFORM ME OF MY GARAGE WAS BEING ENTERED LAST MONTH .The five kids 16 to 18 were very suprised at 3:30 am .I also let them know to smile. Haven't seen that group in this area or around at all . It worked for me .

    The idea for this product is great but after the person or vehicle trips the device it times out after 10 seconds and then you cannot talk to them or hear them unless they make the motion sensor trip again so if you do not answer the alert within that first ten seconds you are out of luck. Very happy with your web store but somewhat dis-satisfied with the product.
