Essential Info

Add an Extra Wireless Transmitter for the Wireless Motion Alert system (sold separately), and you'll be able to monitor another entrance to your property. This weatherproof transmitter operates on one 9-volt battery (sold separately) and is easily mounted on a tree or post near the driveway (mounting materials sold separately). The transmitter uses a passive infrared (PIR) beam to detect people or vehicles to a distance of up to 80 feet, then sends a radio signal back to the receiver, which can be placed in your home up to 600 feet away.

    Using the dip switches on the Extra Wireless Transmitter, you can select one of four tones (Classical, Westminster Chime, Ding Dong, or Whistle) to sound when the receiver gets the signal from the transmitter. The tone will sound for a few seconds.

    Not very good. I own an original WRT and WR-3000 from 4 years ago which is still awesome. This second unit is pathic and I have sent it back to Dakota.

    The wireless motion works well with the EZSnsRF and the isy-99. The opening in the waterproof cases makes the sensor beam really narrow up close. You need to take this into consideration when determining its location.

    One of the transmitters ( bought an extra transmitter) works most of the time. It senses people walking past the beam , but does not detect cars coming in our driveway many times.

    A small self-contained unit with very smart power circuitry resulting in loooong battery life. A pity they were obliged to cut the jumper pin to disable the 'high power' mode, but apart from that, it was a quick and easy install. I mounted mine in a wooden cover for physical and weather protection, and I'm very pleased with it's performance.

    IMPORTANT - While the unit worked well, I found that when my porch lights were on, the motion sensor did not always activate. Otherwise works as advertised. Range may be limited by concrete walls and newer glass doors/windows (according to manufacturer rep).

    Well worth the money. I have several and they do the job for me. Will give you a false report if sun shines directly into sensor.I recommend there bird house concealment ( or build your Own)as some one took one of mine , I think they thought it was a trail camera.You can use them for anything where you want to no if there is motion,

    This is the second unit I've purchased, the first is waiting to be returned to the manufacturer. It worked great for a few week then would not shut off. The second unit stopped working this morning after three weeks. To be fair I have not tried to determine the problem yet, it's not batteries, but am dissapointed. When it works it is great.

    The only criticism I have is the volume. You can control it. However, even turned all the way down, it is still VERY loud.
