easy to set up and put into action..

Excellent product. We have a wired whole house alarm system that is fine if someone kicks the front door in but now we have one Skylink sensor pointing at our back door and one pointing at our front door. Now we will be alerted and prepared if someone is getting ready to kick in our doors. The alarm is loud enough that it can be heard outside so any criminal with half a brain should be long gone by the time our feet hit the floor. I highly recommend the Skylink Household Alert System.

The first week that I setup the HA-434TL wireless sensor it picked up motion at near the rated distance. By the second week the sensor was not sensing motion so I tested it and found that the distance was about half by the second week. By the third week it was less. So now I have moved the sensor where it works with motion detection at about 10 feet and no more. From the begining I put in new batteries. I take it that the rated distance is for full batteries for about one week. Other than that the system works well and as I expected for my intended use with the HA434RTL base station. I wish that the HA-434TL would cover the rated distance for a few months or a year and not a couple of weeks.

For the price, these are very good sensors. I have mine mounted on a wall pointed straight down so am not encountering any of the range problems others are mentioning. The adjustable sensitivity is great. When set to high, it picks up almost everything - when set to low, it really only gets set off on human intruders. I've had very few false alarms once I had them set properly.
