The Garage Door Remote Control is a system that comes with a garage door receiver that will trigger your automatic garage door when you press a button on the included tiny transmitter that fits right on your key ring. You won't even need to go into an empty house: The transmitter will even turn on a light to guide your way if you have a Switch Receiver (sold separately).

    More Info

    The receiver is easy to install. Connect the stripped ends of the included wire to the two terminals on the back of your wall-mounted door control, and plug the connector end into the receiver. That's it! The Keychain Transmitter's left button is preprogrammed to operate the receiver.

    There is no limit to the number of transmitters that can control the Garage Door Receiver, so every member of your family will be able to access your garage. Simply set the same operation code on all transmitters with the same code setting on the receiver. Additional Keychain Transmitters are sold separately.

    For a more permanent access transmitter, the Keyless Entry Transmitter (sold separately) is easily mounted on the wall of your garage for PIN access at any time.

    The garage door receiver was easy to install. Only took a couple of minutes. I was hesitant to purchase the unit because the transmitter did not include a clip to clip to my visor and the transmitter was too large for me to add to key ring. The range is not as good as my old unit. For the price it works just fine.

    I bought this to use with a Genie AC79 CRY PTAR. Unfortunately it does NOT WORK CORRECTLY. It works fine when OPENING the garage door, but WILL NOT work properly when CLOSING THE DOOR. It will occasionally CLOSE the door, but very rarly. We did call your support line, but got no resolution to the problem.

    This is the third one of these I've installed. The first only lasted one day, however I consider that a fluke, and the return / replacement was painless. The second lasted about a year, in a very challenging environment (installed in a remote gate on high ground - lots of storms). Of course, I'd like it to last longer, however installation is a snap, and for the price I think it's a good deal.
