The transmitter worked with my existing receiver I purchased a couple of years ago. The smarthome people didn't know that it would work. They should know more about the products they sell. I had to do some research to see if it was compatible.

VERY DIFFICULT to program. Involves moving 10 yes, 10! jumper switches which are very tiny and difficult to change. They are recessed too deep to maneuver with my fingers, which are not large. They are positioned to close for needle nose pliers or even tweezers. Comes with a wire clip which works for getting the jumpers out but is no help when moving putting back in. Mounting screws are too small to hold in anything. My exterior is synthetic stucco and I'm sure it would fall off in no time.
