    This item is mislabled. It is part of a home security system. It will not work on any garage doors (only skylink systems).

    This item was mis-labeled or wrongly advertised. It's not for the garage door opener but rather for their security system. There isn't a way to program it to activate the garage door opener.

    We already had some for my elderly father and we needed some more. We use them with an emergency telephone dialer. We place the remotes around the baseboards of his apartment--and if he falls, he can reach out, find a close-by remote and press the red button which dials out for help. They work just fine.
