Works, but had to remove weather stripping or there was too much friction to close the outside door fully.

I returned first unit because it worked a while installing and half way thru installation it would not work. Replacement works ok but I have two issues: 1. It is very noisy 2. Most importantly, there is a bit of resistance in the opening and I am afraid the motor will not last a long time, although the door is accessed infrequently. This may be related to my application but unlikely.

I purchase this door opener for my disabled father who uses scooters and powerchairs to get around. I successfully installed the DM-100 (with magnetic lock) on the main entrance door of a ranch home. The magnetic lock provides security during day hours while we use a dead bolt at night. The only modification I had to make was to the bottom door rubber weather strip/sweeper. If the door cannot close completely with minimal effort, you may have to make some minor modifications to weatherstripping. All in all, we''re very happy with the system and would recommend it to anyone looking for an automatic swing door opener.
