Its OK, but it's slow to open the door. It also has trouble with the weight of the door against the electric strike. It does an awful lot of grinding. Besides that, it generally gets the job done well enough. It's very quiet.

**Works well as a full-time automatic door, but disappointed with manual operation.** I just had this opener installed and it was chosen specifically because the manufacturer description says the door can still be operated manually. It should say it can be operated manually IN AN EMERGENCY. When opened manually the opener makes a pronounced and unsettling clicking noise. The instruction manual says this is normal. The clicking occurs as the clutch disengages and engages. But it sounds awful, as if gears are being stripped or something. Also, when trying to close the door manually, it won't close completely. The opener must be cycled open and closed in order to fully close the door again. This is disappointing given that it's installed on a high traffic door and I’m the only wheelchair user. My intention was for most people to use the door manually while I used the opener. But for the reasons described above, it’s just not going to be practical as a manually opened door. I also suspect that prolonged manual use will cause damage to the opener clutch. So, my plan will be to mount buttons inside and out, and everyone will need to use the opener. The opener does function well though. It's installed on my hallway door going into the garage. It’s a narrow space and difficult to open the door from a wheelchair. The installation was pretty straightforward and the remote has plenty of range, though the remote buttons are difficult to press with disabled hands. Even without the electric strike or the electromagnetic lock installed, the door closes tightly and stays shut. However, the door isn’t secure this way. If installing on an exterior entry door, the electric strike would be necessary to securely lock the door.
