Essential Info

Take maximum advantage of your AAA+ Home Smart Center home security system by connecting an audio sensor to your existing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. The Alarm Sensor for AAA+ is a battery-powered sensor that sends a radio signal to your AAA+ Home Smart Center control panel if your smoke alarm goes off, connecting an existing sensor to your home security system. The AAA+ Home Smart Center home security system is sold separately.

Place the Alarm Sensor for AAA+ as close as possible to your smoke or carbon monoxide alarm. If that alarm is triggered and sounds, the Alarm Sensor will transmit a radio alert to the AAA+ Home Smart Center, which will alert you or can even sound an alarm, call out to up to five phone numbers, or trigger another event, depending on how you have set up your security system. Each zone in the AAA+ Home Smart Center home security system can support two sensors, so you can install leak detectors, motion detectors, and door/window sensors in numerous locations in your home in addition to Alarm Sensors. All sensors are sold separately.

The AAA+ Home Smart Center supervises the sensor and its battery condition automatically, alerting you immediately if something is wrong. The Alarm Sensor for AAA+ can be powered by the included 9-volt battery or with an external AC power supply, sold separately.

This sensor can also trigger the Audio Alarm for AAA+ (sold separately).

For larger homes or for remote sensors, adding a wireless signal booster/repeater is a good way to add reliability to the system, so you'll be sure to receive an alert the moment your home is breached.
