The WR-318 Lighting Receiver In-Wall Dimmer Switch with Transmitter was designed to operate a 300 watt load at 120 volts of alternating current (120VAC) for either incandescent or CFL bulbs. Skylink’s WR-318 is a kit which is comprised of the WR-001 Lighting Receiver In-Wall Dimmer Switch, 300 Watts and the TM-318 Snap-On Wireless Remote Transmitter. This switch features an On/Off or relay function as well as a dimming function which will only work with dimmable bulbs. The included remote features one button which has a toggle function turning the load on with one press and then off with a second press. Essentially it will send a command for the opposite operating mode to which the switch is currently functioning in. For example, if the switch is currently on, than the transmitter will send an off command and vice versa. Pressing and holding the button on the TM-318 transmitter will allow you to brighten and dim the attached load. Users will release the button once they notice the light is at the appropriate intensity. One CR-2032 battery will be required in order to power the TM-318 remote transmitter (included).

To use this dimmer switch simply replace your old pre-xisting switch with the new WR-001. Being that there is no neutral wire needed for the WR-001 to operate replacing the old with the WR-001 will be as easy as disconnecting then reconnecting two wires. Once properly installed you will be able to wirelessly turn on and off, or dim and brighten lights powered by the switch locally, or remotely with the included transmitter and a variety of other SkylinkHome transmitters. This switch offers a touch-sensitive surface allowing you to control the load with a brush of your finger across the surface. The snap-on wireless remote transmitter TM-318 (included) can be used as a remote controller for this dimmer and physically attaches to the switch face. When attached, the touch-sensitive surface is covered and the TM-318 is used as a standard local control of the load. To achieve remote control over the WR-001 from any other wireless transmitter, you must first program the switch to be a responder of that transmitter. The programming is a very simple process done with the set buttons located on the switch and on the transmitter. A maximum of 8 transmitters can be paired to one WR-318 dimmer switch. This allows you to add more wireless hand-held remote controllers, or motion sensors to your system for flexibility, security, and comfort.
