The ELK-M1PCSPIM Power Line Interface Module is special in that the M1XSP Serial Port chip is housed inside of the unit. Now you can easily connect an ELK M1 controller to a UPB network with this all-in-one device. This unit will need to be plugged into an AC power outlet to allow UPB communication. The ELK M1 data bus hub is required to make a 4-wire connection to the interface, and allow enrollment of the device. UPB is a Power Line Carrier (PLC) lighting and automation technology. The UPB signal will take advantage of your existing wiring to allow remote control over your home lighting and appliances without the need for new construction. Adding this item to your existing ELK security system is an easy and affordable way to begin combining your home security with home automation.
