Don't be inconvenienced by having to walk to your PC or touchscreen controller to read the conditions your home automation system is reporting. Let your system TELL you what's going on with your own electronically recorded voice! Just connect this amazingly flexible RS-485 Voice Module to any home automation controller that transmits ASCII text via an RS-232 or RS-485 serial port, and it can replay custom messages through speakers or a home PA system based on any condition. Perfect for use with the Magic Module (#1290), TimeCommander Plus (#1200), Stargate (#1240) or Ocelot (#73101) systems.

Left your garage door open? Program the system to say "Garage Open." Want to know when the automated sprinklers start? The system can say "Sprinklers On." Did someone trigger a motion sensor in a protected area? Tell the person to "Go Away" in your own words, not a computer-generated synthesized voice! The choices are endless!

The system can record 400 individual messages of 1.2 seconds in length, although channels may be combined for longer messages. Messages can be recorded via a built-in microphone or can be downloaded as .wav files from a computer using a sound card output and a sound card interface (#7275, sold separately). Maximum record time is 480 seconds. Need more time? No problem! Up to 31 voice modules can be networked over the RS-485 data bus.
