Essential Info
Use this sensor to detect when something or someone passes an entry point - a car entering your driveway, someone coming in the side gate, or any number of other uses. The sensor emits a beam of infrared (IR) light, invisible to human eyes, bounces it off a reflector, and senses when the beam is interrupted. The light sent out is polarized, so the sensor responds only to light with the same polarization. Input voltage can be anything from 12 to 240 volts, either AC or DC. The output is a relay capable of 0.6A at 110-125 volts, 2A at 30VDC. It's waterproof to the IP66 standard, so is built to take punishment outdoors. There are two LEDs to indicate proper operation. Comes with the 3" Reflector to assure sufficient light returns to the sensor. Add the optional Protective Hood if there is too much ambient light at your installation, and to protect the reflector from physical damage. There's also a Steel Protective Hood for the photo sensor to protect it from damage.
