Essential Info
Don't let that freezer full of food go to waste! Unfortunately, people rarely notice a dangerous rise in temperature in the freezer until it's too late. By adding the Freezer Watchdog, you'll be able to receive an instant notification via X10 so you'll be able to begin rectifying the situation before it's too late. The Freezer Watchdog interfaces to a standard X10 Powerflash device (sold separately).

More Info
|
The Freezer Watchdog provides a way to sense inordinately high temperatures or the early failure of a residential freezer. Place the sensor in your freezer and extend the wire leads out the freezer door to the Powerflash unit. The freezer door will open and close normally with careful placement of the wires routed through the freezer's weather stripping. Two leads from the sensor attach to the Powerflash terminals.
In the event that the freezer's temperature rises to an unacceptable level, one of these selectable events will occur:
1) All lamp and appliance modules set to the same house and unit code as the Powerflash will turn on. After the freezer temperature returns to normal and the Freezer Watchdog's reset button has been pressed, the modules will turn off.
2) All lamp modules set to the same house code will flash. If the freezer temperature returns to normal, all lights will remain on.
