The Smarthome Laser Garage Parking System is an inexpensive and easy solution to this common problem. Available in a single laser (for one car garages) or dual laser (for two car garages) models, the Laser Garage Parking System helps you identify the perfect parking spot in your garage each and every time you pull in by simply tracking the laser beam until it hits a pre-selected spot on your dash or hood. The easy-to-install Laser Garage Parking System mounts on your garage ceiling and projects a bright red laser beam toward the garage floor. As your car enters the garage, a motion detector triggers the laser beam to project onto your car's hood and continues toward the dashboard. You determine the ideal parking spot and match that with where the laser beam projects onto your car.

    More Info
    The Smarthome Laser Parking System's motion sensor detects when your car enters the garage. It triggers the laser to shine from the ceiling mounted unit to a predetermined spot. Once you pull your car to that spot, you know you've safely parked in the correct location of your garage. Easy installation with all mounting hardware included. Can be power by either the included AC adapter or a 9V battery, sold separately.

    Please use caution when installing. The housing is made from plastic which can be cracked when accessing the battery box (open carefully). Product usage is dependent on motion; therefore it is not recommended to power the item via battery if your garage is a high traffic area. Frequent motion detection will cause the battery to lose power quickly.

    Having to wait 3 months for the product, I was disappointed in the battery life. Only lasted a couple of weeks. Will have to switch to power cord.

    I hope it ends up lasting, as the build construction is pretty cheap. Biggest annoyance is that the lasers have a VERY limited range of motion; it would be OK for a single laser, but for the dual car model it's a PITA. All of that would have rated a 3 or 4, but given that I had to wait 3 months for it to be delivered, I can't stomach giving more than a 2.

    It works good for one car but beams don't spread far enough apart for two cars. Also batteries last no time so use power supply.

    After waiting several months for this to become available, upon arrival it's less than hoped for. The ability to aim the lasers is limited by the shape of the housing. The movement sensor to activate the laser is also limited. It goes off with movement in the garage readily, but activates late when parking the car. I've tried a number of locations with same limits. Finally, the battery wiring is defective, so the unit must be plugged into an outlet. This further limits available locations for the unit. Would not purchase again, not worth sending back.

    This is a piece of junk. Nowhere does it say that it won't work in a cold garage (~35 F). I installed it, it worked fine for about 10 minutes, then nothing -- no amount of motion would cause it to turn on, even me standing on a ladder waving 3" from the sensor. So I brought it inside to look at it for 15 minutes, then reinstalled it in the garage, worked for 10 minutes, then nothing. Wasn't the transformer -- I checked that with 3 others. Wouldn't work on batteries, either. After waiting for this thing to ship almost 3 months, it was an utter and complete disappointment and waste of money.

    Does basically as advertised. Very intense red beam/dot so easy to see in daytime. Automatically goes off after about 10 seconds of detecting movement which is OK except when it gets tripped first by garage door opening up then by car so may come on then off then on so not always timed as you expect.

    Product has limited adjustments to aim dot. Two cars in one garage wil take some modifications. It can't be placed on the ceiling because you will not be able to make the adjustment to focus on both cars. Not to happy. I still don't have it installed becaue I will have to get it in a place that I can focus on both cars.

    I should have purchased the one laser unit. The two laser unit dosen't have enough latteral range for two cars. That being said, the unit works great for the vechile I worried most about.

    I like the concept and the product. I used the double sided tape that came with the product instead of the screws... Don't do this! When I got home two days later the ape had failed and the unit had smashed against the garage floor and its now unusable!
