The Solar Powered Motion Activated Security Halogen Light turns on automatically when it detects movement, so your loved ones and guests won't have to walk up to a dark home; additionally it will help to deter potential intruders. This product is solar powered, so no electrician or custom wiring is needed for installation, and there are no operating costs. The solar panel can be located up to 15 feet away from the light using the included cable, making it convenient to mount the panel in an area where it can capture the most sunlight or to mount the light indoors. It features an adjustable PIR motion sensor with a 180° detection (up to 35 feet) range and an adjustable daylight sensitivity (lux). Once movement has been sensed, the ultra-bright 30 Watt halogen light will illuminate for a specified period of time from 10 seconds up to four minutes; good for activation up to 150 times for one minute at a time on a full charge. This light is the perfect solution for areas where electricity is not available yet lighting is desired, such as porches, driveways, garages, doorways, and any other area around your home. The solar panel charges three AA NiMH rechargeable batteries, included.

My neighbor was having graffiti problems on the back wall of his property (new graffiti on a monthly basis). The area was dark and easy for vandals to hide and "paint" at their leisure. It was also an area where he did not have outdoor electricity. I installed one of these lights on his garage to deter vandals. It’s been 5 months and no graffiti! The light only comes on when there is motion, so it is not wasting any of the solar energy, and adds an element of surprise to anybody walking back there at night. It’s bright (30 watts), and it stores energy very well (I’ve seen it on even after cloudy days). I’ve tested other solar lights and this is by far the brightest. I highly recommend this light as an alternative to wired outdoor lighting.
