Know that family members are arriving home when you're in another part of the house. Go outside to greet arriving guests, or greet them at the door before they ring the doorbell. Be alerted to unexpected visitors in advance. The Driveway Monitor will let you do all that without even running wires. More than one receiver can be added to the system to allow multiple alerting locations.

Just mount the battery-operated Sensor/Transmitter on the included mounting stake, in a tree, or anywhere else near your driveway. When its magnetometer sensor detects a vehicle passing by on the driveway, it sends a radio signal to the AC-powered Receiver Unit that you plug into any electrical outlet in your home. The Sensor transmits up to 500 ft. (line-of-sight, distance will vary with mounting location). The Receiver Unit will respond with an audible tone, and the green Alert LED will flash until you push the Reset button.
Turn on a lamp in your home when your driveway monitor senses a car in the driveway.
