The system consists of a WaterCop electronic shut-off valve and three wireless, battery-operated WaterHound probes. The shut-off valve installs on your home's main water line between the existing shut-off valve and the location where the plumbing main begins to branch off to water appliances, like washing machines, water heaters or dishwashers. The main unit plugs into any standard 3-prong power outlet with its 8-ft. extension cord and features green and red LEDs indicating if the water flow is open or closed.
Simply place the battery-operated water sensor probes (aka WaterHounds) near places that are prone to leaks, like washing machines, water heaters, dishwashers, toilets, sinks, ice-makers and more. When one of these WaterHounds detects moisture, it will immediately send a wireless signal to the shut-off valve, which will shut off the household water supply.
Pays for Itself After Its First Detection
With water damage accounting for upwards of 30% of all residential insurance claims — often reaching thousands of dollars each — the WaterCop essentially pays for itself with its first detection. Perfect for your house, small business or vacation home, the WaterCop monitors the premises for water leaks 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (so long as AC power is present), effectively curtailing damage to your home until the leak can be repaired.

Be Notified When a Leak is Detected, Even When You're Not Home
The WaterCop system also offers three sets of low-voltage dry contacts that you can connect to a home security or automation system that can notify you when a problem arises. You could also use these dry contacts to turn the water main on and off as you see fit — like when you go away on a business trip or vacation.
Three Other Sizes to Choose From:
A WaterCop system is also available for 1/2-inch pipes, 3/4-inch pipes or 1 1/4-inch pipes. The system includes the electric shut-off valve and 3 WaterHound sensors.
