Installation was quick and easy but the range from the opener button to the keypad was very short. Less then 20 feet, which is very common for a two car garage. I would not recommend.

The unit did not work. Sent it back to get it fixed. Have not heard anything yet.
    DAVID -- houston, TX   4/5/2012
Button works, but the remote keypad will not function.
VICTOR -- rock island, IL   1/6/2012
Shipping was quick and product worked great. Problem: Opener was not the same color as pictured. The one I received was black.

I have tried for over several days and many hours to make this work with my fairly new garage door opener. All of the thing on the instructions seem to work. The red light on the smart button blinks slowly. When changing the code on the key pad, it blinks and beeps as instructed. When putting in the code, NOTHING. I have written their help email several times and they only answered once with no help whatsover. Keep your money and buy something that works, and has some help when you have a problem.
    Sad Skylink ex-customer -- denver, CO   10/30/2011
I purchased two of these units and installed them on identical garage door openers. They both worked to open the doors 3-4 times then one of the switches burned out and would constantly send a signal to keep opening and shutting the garage door, then it shorted out and wouldn't work at all. I got a replacement for that switch, and had the same issues as the first. After contacting Skylink and asking what the issue was, they said I needed to connect it to a power source. Here is the problem, the other switch, on the other garage door that was identical to the one having issues, was working fine WITHOUT a power source. I stress 'was' in that last sentence because it worked for 2 months, and now will not operate. VERY POOR technology, wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Headache and a half for a device that is designed to simply send a current for a millisecond to open a Garage door. Using a doorbell now. ugh.
MIKE -- st charles, IL   6/23/2011
extremely easy to install and works great
    ROXANNE -- salado, TX   4/14/2011

ANDREW -- portola valley, CA   6/24/2010

    KEVIN -- somers, NY   10/25/2009
Simple and easy. No issues, works great.
ANTHONY -- garden city, MI   9/7/2009
I installed this for my brother-in-law and loves it. They didnt have a remote for the garage when they moved in and this lets access it with easy. Even begin a Stanley Opener that is no longer serviced.
JENNIFER -- san jose, CA   1/9/2009
This Garage Door opener keypad is great. The only problem we had was we had to buy an additional power supply for the inside button because our door open was too old; other than that we love it and would recommend it.
    JAMES -- lawton, OK   12/12/2008
Sort of misleading. Would not work with older opener
BRANDON -- baton rouge, LA   1/16/2008
I had trouble with setup and then realized the LED was not blinking on the wireless receiver, yet the button worked. I disassembled unit and reassembled and then it started working. I was very close to returning product. For installation, I wired it directly to the garage door opener rather than remove the button from the wall and splice the line. If unit functions properly it is fairly simple to setup. I also tested the security of the wireless keypad to see if the code could be set to default if battery died or if internal jumper switch was on, that was NOT the case. This product is a good value and am considering purchasing another for the second garage door.
MARK -- traverse city, MI   10/28/2007
This product was supposed to be universal. And in most cases would be, except when the garage door opener uses a different secondary voltage other that 12 volts for the controller buttons. The manufacturer was contacted only to find that the butten (in this case) requires a secondary power source at the button which was not possible at my customer's location. I am a little disappointed, but in many cases with most garage door openers, it would have worked. But not for me.
