extremely easy to install and works great

The product was exactly what I expected. It was easily to install & works beautifully.

I installed this for my brother-in-law and loves it. They didnt have a remote for the garage when they moved in and this lets access it with easy. Even begin a Stanley Opener that is no longer serviced.

Sort of misleading. Would not work with older opener

This product was supposed to be universal. And in most cases would be, except when the garage door opener uses a different secondary voltage other that 12 volts for the controller buttons. The manufacturer was contacted only to find that the butten (in this case) requires a secondary power source at the button which was not possible at my customer's location. I am a little disappointed, but in many cases with most garage door openers, it would have worked. But not for me.

I purchased two of these units and installed them on identical garage door openers. They both worked to open the doors 3-4 times then one of the switches burned out and would constantly send a signal to keep opening and shutting the garage door, then it shorted out and wouldn't work at all. I got a replacement for that switch, and had the same issues as the first. After contacting Skylink and asking what the issue was, they said I needed to connect it to a power source. Here is the problem, the other switch, on the other garage door that was identical to the one having issues, was working fine WITHOUT a power source. I stress 'was' in that last sentence because it worked for 2 months, and now will not operate. VERY POOR technology, wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Headache and a half for a device that is designed to simply send a current for a millisecond to open a Garage door. Using a doorbell now. ugh.
