With this remote control kit you may easily add an additional garage door remote control or replace a missing or broken garage door opener without programming. Simply remove your existing garage door opener button and replace it with the Skylink Smartbutton. The easy two wire installation means you can have the system up and running in under 5 minutes simply by replacing your existing garage door opener button mounted on the wall. The improved 100 foot transmission range means you can control your garage door from several houses away. The kit features rolling code communication between the remote and smart button, which means that others cannot capture your code and control your garage door. Rolling codes constantly change, keeping your system secure.

This universal garage door opening system is also available in a visor transmitter or keypad transmitter version.

    1 - I am very frustrated with this product. I returned the first one I purchased since I thought the wires were bad. I have another one, and although the light on the remote now works, neither the remote or the button will open my garage door. I'm working with a rep who is very nice, but I'm tired of running around to find an adapter that may or may not allow the unit to work. If it works, this product would be ideal for me and then I would give it a 5. If it doesn't, then obviously I would give it a 0.

    Remote is too big. It has a keychain loop but its the size of a cell phone, far too big to put in your pocket. But it also has no visor clip so i just have to leave it in the cup holder. It works great, though, just wired it into my existing push button.

    The 100% compatible claim is highly dubious now that I know how it works. If you have some electronics knowledge then it will be useful to know, before you buy this, that it leeches about 3mA from the door controller's button input. For my controller this was too much by about a factor of 10 and required me to modify the door controller to allow 3mA to be drawn from the button input without creating a phantom button push. If you can get past that potential installation issue then the installation is easy and it works great. I was upgrading a controller that had a button on the controller itself not a remote wired button and poor range on its RF remote so this product gave me both a wired button I could locate away from the controller and decent range on the RF remote.
