This flood prevention system allows you to monitor and protect your entire home from water damage from any potential source. At the heart of the system is a motorized ball valve assembly which attaches to the main water distribution source. Rather than install multiple valve assemblies at points of potential leaks, you’ll be able to turn water off right at the source, allowing one plumbing connection to protect your entire home. Water will be interrupted in one smooth motion within two or three seconds of activation. The controlled motion is designed to prevent "water hammering" and its potential dangers, such as ruptured hoses, broken solder joints, etc.

One wireless transmitter/sensor is included in the kit but it can be expanded with as many transmitters as needed. Transmitters are powered by two 3V CR2032 lithium batteries (included) and only expend power when alerting the receiver that it has come in contact with water. While each transmitter is small, its broadcasting capabilities are powerful, sending signals up to 150 feet through walls, floors, ceilings, or any combination of building materials until they reach the receiver.

The receiver continuously scans for signals from transmitters. A 115 VAC adapter is included to keep the unit powered and a 9-Volt battery backup can keep it running in the event of a power outage for up to 24 hours (battery sold separately). When it receives a signal from a transmitter, it automatically commands the valve assembly to interrupt the water flow from the main supply line. An audible alarm will sound from the receiver and its LED indicator will turn red to alert you of a potential leak. The triggered transmitter’s LED will also turn red to help you easily determine the source of the leak. Transmitters conveniently reset themselves once the sensor dries. Water will not be allowed to flow again until you manually open the valve assembly from the receiver. If a transmitter is still sending alarm signals, the valve assembly will immediately close in case water is being detected by multiple transmitters. Water flow can also manually be closed from the receiver for added convenience.
