A water leak can cost many thousands of dollars of damage and may cause mold infestations. Prevent all that potential damage with this Leak-Guardian system. Install the ball valve in your water main, plug in the receiver, and place the sensor wherever you think you may have a water problem - near the refrigerator in case the icemaker line ruptures, behind the washing machine, under the kitchen or bathroom sinks - anywhere water might leak.

The system consists of a motorized ball valve, which is to be installed in your water main. Since it has plumbing unions on each side, installation is easier than trying to directly solder in the valve. The receiver module mounts nearby with two screws and connects with one 8' cable. The valve gets its power from the receiver, which is powered by a 110v power adapter (included), and there's a 9v alkaline battery (sold separately) to provide a 24-hour back up. Sensor modules (one included) can be placed under the dishwasher, toilets, or any number of other potential leak sources. Sensors are powered by two CR2032 lithium batteries (included), and the system can accommodate a limitless number of sensors. The receiver and sensors have 8-position DIP switches so you may set a code unique to your home.

An LED on the receiver indicates alarm status, and open and closed buttons permit manual operation. Sensors have an LED to indicate alarm status and aid in detecting a low battery. The receiver also has an audio alarm to let you know there's a problem.
