Hall Research’s 1x3 HDMI over Dual Cat6 cables allows the user to extend their HDMI connections over longer distances without sacrificing HD quality or spending a small fortune on long HDMI cables. Instead, this unit allows you to use inexpensive Cat6 network cable to 3 different
remote receivers. Extend HDMI audio/video signals up to 150 feet at 1080p or 200 feet at 1080i/720p.
The unit also provides one HDMI output to connect to a local display. The UH-2C-3S is compatible with HDMI versions 1.2a and 1.3 and also supports 3D video. The remote receiver re-aligns the pixel clock and generates clean pixels for the display, thereby taking out any distortion that may have been induced in the cable. This allows daisy-chaining (to achieve further extension), and produces a crisp image as clear as the original.
Note from the Manufacturer:This unit uses an intelligent method to report the EDID (Extended Display Identification Data). Since this unit supports HDMI with HDCP, priority is given to the outputs connected to an HDTV rather than DVI (Digital Visual Interface) LCD TV's. Though the unit can split a DVI source for four DVI LCD displays (with DVI to HDMI cables or adapters), it is not recommended to connect the input in that situation to an HDMI source such as a Blu-ray player, since the DVI LCD's will not support the video anyhow as most DVI LCD's are 4x3 format, do not support HDCP and cannot handle embedded HDMI audio.
Be sure to pick up quality
HDMI Cables and
Cat6 cable to complete the installation. You will also need the
Remote Receiver to transition your dual Cat6 into an HDMI connection.
