It would be nice to know if your mail has been delivered without walking all the way to the street through the snow. The sensor uses a tilt switch to know when the mailbox door has been tilted. There's also a magnetic reed switch to know when a door has been opened. This Mailbox Sensor sends a signal to your Solar Wireless Driveway Monitor, Battery-Powered Driveway Monitor, or 8-Channel Receiver to let you know when your mailbox door has been opened. The receiver will chime briefly, then an LED will flash until you reset it, letting you know the mail has arrived. You may also wire this sensor to any external contacts, either normally open or normally closed, and use it as a transmitter. Operates on one long-life CR-123A 3v lithium battery (included).
