The garage sensor is the exact same device as the universal sensor. They repackage it in a larger box and have slightly different instructions. But the same device. As with the Universal sensor you have to cut wire jumpers inside the unit to get it to function as a tilt, wired magnetic or wireless magnetic sensor. So if you cut the wrong wire you will have to solder the wires back together. They were obviously too cheap to build them with proper DIPP switches as a quality manufacturer would.
