The Sensaphone Wireless 4-20mA Sensor is designed to work exclusively with the Sensaphone WSG30 Wireless Sensor Gateway. This sensor includes a built-in radio transmitter, 4-20mA input and a 24V loop power supply. The sensor can be used to monitor the output of any 4-20mA transducer. The sensor comes with a plug-in power supply and three AA alkaline batteries which will power the sensor for several hours if main AC power fails. The WSG Wireless 4-20mA Sensor provides remote monitoring of 4-20mA transducers without running wires. Contact data is sent from the sensor to the WSG30 via an integrated 2.4GHz Wireless radio. The device can transmit its signal up to 300 feet indoors and even greater distances when it has line-of-site. The WSG30 series of Wireless sensors also feature mesh networking technology, which allows each sensor to be used as either a Wireless sensor/router or as a low-power battery operated sensor (also referred to as an end point). When used as a router, greater distances can be realized because each sensor/router adds another 300 feet of range to the system. The sensor comes with 3 AA alkaline batteries which will power the sensor for up to 2 years.

The Sensaphone WSG30 Wireless Sensor Gateway system is a unique wireless sensor monitoring system that can be used in more than one way. As a standalone system, it can monitor a variety of conditions from the wireless sensors and directly notify the appropriate personnel by sending e-mails and text messages. The convenience of having wireless sensors allows you to move your sensors around while tracking down heat problems within a data center. The WSG30 is perfect for monitoring refrigerators and freezers for food and medical applications where running wires may be inconvenient or costly.
The WSG30 can also be used within an existing industrial automation system and communicate directly with existing HMI software using the Modbus protocol. Sensor and transducer values can be sent wirelessly to the WSG30 main unit and then directly into your automation software. In addition to supplying live wireless sensor information to your existing automation software, the WSG30 can still independently send e-mail and text message alarm notifications at the same time.
Up to 30 wireless sensors can be monitored by the WSG30 in addition to automatic power failure alarm detection and diagnostic alarms. All sensors are supervised with their battery level reported and monitored. If any sensor has a low battery or drops offline, a diagnostic alarm is generated and users are contacted. A rechargeable battery backup is also built in.
