This item will go to five stars after I have used it for one year. Setup was easy (direct IP, software did not install). I have had no TRUE alarms, but tests worked well.

I am reviewing the Sensaphone non Web 400. Good when it worked. Did call at a couple of low temps but stopped working after a year. Company refused to fix or do anything about it. I was really disappointed because of all the other accessories I had to buy are now useless. BTW, the water bug is useless. It makes a loud noise, but it is not even loud enough for a downstairs tenant to hear it. I feel like I should have invested the money into an actual alarm system instead of this device. Giving it two stars for when it actually worked.

Very nice product. I use this with motion detectors and sensors to send me email at work if certain doors are opened or if there is movement in certain areas. The motion detectors also let me know when my kids have made it home from school. I only have a few complaints. One, I wanted to get text messages on my cell phone but this feature only works with certain carriers and my carrier was not included. If you want to receive text messages be sure your carrier is included. Second, I can't get it to keep accurate time and that affects scheduling. For example, if you schedule it to send emails to your office between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and the built in timer reads 9:30 instead of 9:00 you will miss emails between 9:00 and 9:30 that you should have received. The manual needs a lot of work and much of it is too technical for the average person. Tech support is very good and all of my calls have been answered. I would give this product a 5 star rating if not for the problem I am having with the timer and the overly technical manual.

Does what it says well. Very happy with it so far. It's expensive, but it was the best value vs. function that I found.

Very nicely engineered and built product, and works well as it all should be since not inexpensive. Very pleased with how it works just using to monitor temp and power in house during day, since pets home alone. Setup was easy and fun, but I know a little about networks and IP addresses etc. Two things to note: 1 It does NOT work with web-based email addresses e.g., Gmail or Yahoo mail etc.. I specifically asked Smarthome support about this before buying, and they supposedly checked and then told me it did. They were wrong. I think if you download the user manual from Sensaphone it is correct on this; earlier version on Smarthome site month or so ago was incorrect. However, this is not a deal-killer. If you call Sensaphone support, they are wonderful and very responsive and they will quickly set up what you need. Only problem could be they are M-F business hours, so might have to wait for them to open. 2 To monitor AC power, need aux battery, which Smarthome does not sell. Found elsewhere, but it is $70, starting to make this pretty pricey all in. Of course, your router and cable or DSL modem need to be on a UPS also for Sensaphone to send msg out don't plug Sensaphone into UPS. But all in all, a very nice device that does what it is supposed to.

Easy installation and no phone line required. Works as advertised.

Simple installation, extensive user's manual, easy online set up, nice graphics on the displays.

Have used one since summer to monitor the temperature, AC, and visitors in my cabin. It is very easy to configure and has not failed mee.
