Protect your property with a freeze sensor that will not only monitor the temperature when you're away, but will also call you to alert you if the temperature dips to a dangerous level. The Basic Freeze Alarm is a battery-powered sensor that can be placed anywhere and uses your existing telephone line to call you when the temperature drops below 45° F. More Info
|
Place the Basic Freeze Alarm anywhere in the home or business to be monitored and plug the included phone cord into a convenient jack. This sensor will not interfere with your existing telephone service, although it is not compatible with PBX or other multi-line business phone systems. In the event of a temperature dip, the Basic Freeze Alarm will call out to any number you program, continuing to call until the temperature rises or the alert is canceled. You can set the sensor to call every 15 minutes or every 2 hours.
The Basic Freeze Alarm plays a pre-recorded voice message to the person answering the call or to an answering machine, repeating the message for a full minute. The alarm call out can be canceled by calling back to the Basic Freeze Alarm from any phone in the world.
In addition to receiving alerts temperatures drop, you can also call in to determine if your home is in danger of freezing. After 5 or 10 rings (selectable), the Basic Freeze Alarm will pick up and play its alert message if the temperature has dropped. You can even continue to use your existing answering machine or voicemail at the monitored location.
The Basic Freeze Alarm can also be used to alert you if the temperature rises above 85° F. For those who leave pets at home during the day, this is helpful during the summer months if you wish to monitor your air conditioning.
For top-of-the-line control, use the Deluxe Freeze Sensor. This advanced unit will connect to your existing heating system for remote temperature control and will send situation-specific messages depending on the problem detected. An Intermediate Freeze Alarm is also available. This sensor will call up to three different phone numbers to alert you in the event of a freeze or power outage, and the alert message is customizable.
