Essential Info
Keeping a close eye on your home doesn't have to involve an expensive security system. Monitor the inside temperature and the power with a sensor that will call you to alert you if the temperature dips to a dangerous level or if the power goes out for any length of time. The Intermediate Freeze Alarm uses your existing telephone line to call three phone numbers when the temperature drops below the set point you determine or if the power goes out. You can even call in to check on your home remotely, changing settings from your cell phone. The Intermediate Freeze Alarm is powered by an AC adapter and requires a 9-volt battery (sold separately) as a backup.

More Info

Place the Intermediate Freeze Alarm anywhere in the home or business to be monitored, plug the included phone cord into a convenient jack, and plug the sensor into a standard wall jack. This sensor will not interfere with your existing telephone or power service, although it is not compatible with PBX or other multi-line business phone systems. In the event of a temperature dip or a power outage, the Intermediate Freeze Alarm will call the numbers you program, continuing to call until the alert is canceled.
The Intermediate Freeze Alarm plays your pre-recorded, customized voice message of up to 20 seconds to the person answering the call or to an answering machine. If the alarm isn't canceled, the Intermediate Freeze Alarm will immediately contact the second programmed number, followed by the third if it still isn't canceled. This cycle will continue after the amount of time you specify, either 15 minutes or 2 hours.
In addition to receiving alerts, you can also call in to check on your home. After a selectable number of rings, the Intermediate Freeze Alarm will pick up, letting you enter your security password to check on the current temperature, power status and battery status. You can also remotely change any of the program menu settings, including the call-to phone numbers if desired. You can even continue to use your existing answering machine or voicemail at the monitored location.
The Intermediate Freeze Alarm can also be used to alert you if the temperature rises above a temperature you specify. For those who leave pets at home during the day, this is helpful during the summer months if you wish to monitor your air conditioning.
For top-of-the-line control, use the Deluxe Freeze Sensor. This advanced unit will connect to your existing heating system for remote temperature control and will send situation-specific messages depending on the problem detected. A Basic Freeze Alarm is also available. In the event of a freeze, this sensor will call a single phone number to alert you with a pre-programmed message.
