When your air conditioning system is running, you want to receive a benefit from each dollar spent on its energy. Your system now runs the compressor until the home's thermostat reaches its set temp, then shuts off the fan and compressor. The chilling coils inside the ductwork are cold, so why not take advantage of all that "cold" you've already paid for? This controller tells your system to run the fan for a short time after the compressor shuts off, giving you more cold air without spending money to run the compressor. Simple installation requires connecting only three wires. There is no programming required - the GreenFan adds a few minutes of "fan only" time for every five-minute period the compressor runs.

Studies by Southern California Edison and Pacific Gas & Electric show you can save between 10% and 29% on your cooling bills. In addition to recovering the "cold" stored in the coil, there is more cooling effect gained from evaporating the moisture that naturally condenses on the coils.
