Essential Info
The CSM42 from Video Storm is a full quality HDTV matrix switch that combines HDTV video (up to 1080p), analog audio, coax and optical digital audio, digital audio transcoding and distribution capable output drivers. This unit delivers ultra clean noise performance and more bandwidth than needed for all high definition video standards. The CSM42 can easily be controlled by virtually any remote and with its ZeroKey technology, it allows switching to be performed by any key on the remote that you choose. The switch can also be controlled manually by a push button on the front of the unit. The analog audio features a soft switching technology to eliminate pops and clicks when changing to a different input. The front of the unit comes complete with a LED indicator that shows the selected channel. Connections to and from the Matrix Switcher require the use of RCA Component Video and Audio cable and Optical Digital Audio cable, sold separately.

ZeroKey Technology
The CSM42 switch can be controlled manually by use of the toggle button on the front of the unit or by virtually any remote control. The remote control interface uses ZeroKey infrared code cloning to map any remote control key to each one of the four video and audio outputs. This technology is compatible with virtually all remote controls and does not interfere with the normal operation of the remote. The best way to use this technology is to program the CSM42 with the same keys you normally push to switch your AV receiver or TV. The CSM42 will switch at the same time as your TV or receiver without the need for complicated macros or pushing extra buttons. ZeroKey programming is stored in flash memory and you will not need to reprogram even if you lose power. If you buy a new remote to operate your home entertainment center, the CSM42 can be reprogrammed as much as you like.
The CSM42 can support the following typical applications:
Switching 4 sets component video and analog audio to 2 displays/receivers/storage devices
Switching 4 sets component video and digital coax audio to 2 displays/receivers/storage devices
Switching 4 sets component video and digital optical audio to 2 displays/receivers/storage devices
