This Niles Audio shallow depth loudspeaker is optimal for applications where space above the ceiling is limited. The shallow Depth Design permits installation in a ceiling depth of as small as 2-1/8-inch behind 5/8-inch drywall. 7-inch Mineral-Filled Polypropylene woofer cone is extremely rigid to reduce breakup, lower distortion and provide enhanced bass response. A Butyl rubber cone surround damps resonance and provides exceptional durability and a 3/4" soft dome tweeter offers wide dispersion and silky-smooth high-frequency response providing a smooth, pleasing sound throughout the sonic spectrum. A rear Powder-Coated Steel Cover minimizes sound penetration to adjoining spaces making this speaker ideal for installation in Multiple Dwelling Units (MDUs) such as apartments, condos and townhomes.
