The Niles Audio ABS-1 Signal Activated Speaker-Level A-B Switcher is designed specifically to address a common challenge in home audio installation, how to enable two audio sources to use one set of stereo speakers. To make this possible, simply connect your speakers to the "COMMON" input on the Niles Audio ABS-1 using the spring loaded terminals. Then connect the speaker output from each of your (2) components to the "A" and "B" inputs on the Niles Audio ABS-1 and plug-in the included power supply. The unit will automatically be able to switch between "A" and "B". The default is for component "A" to be active. When component "B" is turned on, the Niles Audio ABS-1 will sense that power has been applied and will override component "A". Conversely, when component "B" is turned off, component "A" will be active again.
