The Niles Audio SW10JM Passive Joist-Mount Subwoofer is designed to fit discreetly in to ceilings or sub-floors between joists and accommodates both 16" and 24" on-center joist construction - and when properly installed it will be virtually unnoticeable, visible only through the included Microperf grille. Ideally, this subwoofer should be used with a Niles Audio SWA-500M subwoofer amplifier (sold separately) to obtain superior low frequency sonic quality in your home theater and/or music application. When combined with the Niles SWA-500M power amplifier you'll hear deep, thunderous bass that makes movies and music so enjoyable. Expressly designed for lower distortion and enhanced bass response in home theater applications, the SW10JM exceeds specifications set forth by Dolby Laboratories for the accurate reproduction of Dolby Digital-Encoded Sources. Two gold-plated, 5-way binding posts provide an excellent termination point for all types of wire ends. For ease of installation, the subwoofer comes in two separate installation packages: pre-construction (which contains all the necessary components to install the cabinet located inside the wall) and trim out phase (which includes the driver/baffle assembly, frame and grille). This product is also avaialbe for Wall-Mount applications, sold separately.

Please note: This is a passive (non-powered) subwoofer and must be used with a power amplifier; the Niles SWA-500 subwoofer amplifier is recommended - use with any other amplifier could result in less than optimal performance.
