The PSW8 wall mount subwoofer is uniquely designed to provide unobtrusive low frequency sound in your home theater and/or surround sound system. An 8-inch injection-molded TCC (Talc, Carbon, and Ceramic-filled) cone reduces breakup and lowers distortion even under high power up to 150 Watts; the butyl rubber cone surround dampens resonance and provides exceptional durability, an exceptionally heavy-duty magnet/voice-coil/spider structure ensures powerful bass response, and an inverted dust cap increases stiffness-to-mass ratio and reduces distortion. Each of these feature combined makes for a subwoofer that is light weight and delivers accurate, dynamic response. The PSW8 works in a standard 2 x 4 stud wall with varying air volumes and does not require a special enclosure to provide high performance. The selectable high and low-pass filters make it suitable for use with a wide variety of satellite speakers.

Additional Features
Snap-in assembly makes installation of Niles speaker baffles easier and faster than other in-wall brands, and leaves an absolutely flush to the wall appearance, even with the aluminum grilles installed. Retrofit installations are simple and fast, as a supplied template assures accurate hole cutting, allowing the bracket to slips behind the drywall and the screws secure the bracket to the speaker frame. Color coded no-strip terminal enables speakers to be connected without stripping the speaker wire. Antiresonant Wave Bracing keeps bass tones rich and dynamic. The speaker baffle has a locator designed for the Niles MS110 MicroSensor, which can be installed discreetly behind the aluminum grille, so when you want to control your equipment, you simply point your remote control at the speaker from up to 15 feet away. The baffle-mounted low pass crossover control adjusts filter settings at 100Hz or 140Hz while the high pass crossover control selects filter bypass or 120Hz setting.
