About the Woofer
The 5 1/4-inch Talc-filled polypropylene cone is light, strong and well damped to accommodate all program material and features a treated foam cone surround that increases sensitivity and provides exceptional durability. The woofer is made of vacuum formed polypropylene with talc added for stiffening. The resulting cone offers high efficiency which offers an easy load to amplifiers. Custom debris screens prevent insulation from coming in contact with the woofer.

About the Tweeter
The 3/4-inch Kaladex Tweeter employs DuPont's latest material technology to produce a dome tweeter with exceptional frequency response and low distortion. Highs are crystal clear and extended without the harshness often associated with polycarbonate designs. A proprietary tweeter-adjustment mechanism rotates and pivots for accurate positioning high frequencies after installation for optimum performance.

Other Features
There are front-mounted bass and treble controls that enable instant fine tuning after the speakers are installed. Snap-in baffles make installation of Niles Audio speaker baffles easier and faster than other in-wall brands, and leaves an absolutely flush to the wall appearance, even with the aluminum grilles installed. Retrofit installations are simple and fast, as a supplied template assures accurate hole cutting, allowing the bracket to slips behind the drywall and the screws secure the bracket to the speaker frame. Color coded no-strip terminal enables speakers to be connected without stripping the speaker wire. Antiresonant Wave Bracing keeps bass tones rich and dynamic. The speaker baffle has a locator designed for the Niles MS110 MicroSensor, which can be installed discreetly behind the aluminum grille, so when you want to control your equipment, you simply point your remote control at the speaker from up to 15 feet away. The speaker also features moisture resistant construction perfect for installation damp environment.
