Essential Info
Don't just rely on standing or in-wall speakers to deliver your music. Fill out the sound in your room by installing in-ceiling speakers, which can maximize your audio entertainment. This pair of 6.5-Inch Ceiling 2-Way Speakers features poly woofers with rubber surrounds and 25mm pivoting, soft dome tweeters as well as a rear-mounted tweeter-level control. Speaker wire is sold separately. Make your install easier with an Adjustable Speaker Hole Saw.

Since placing the speakers in the center of the listening area may not be possible, the 6.5-Inch In-Ceiling 2-Way Speakers each have a pivoting tweeter, so you can "aim" the high frequencies toward the listening position. The output of the tweeter can also be adjusted to compensate for speaker placement or listening positions that are less than ideal. The 0dB position is designed to provide the smoothest frequency response on axis. If the high-frequency response is considered to be too strong or too weak, the tweeter level can increased (+3dB position) or decreased (-3dB position) to suit your preference.
These in-ceiling speakers are designed to work within any interior-decorating scheme. They can be installed in virtually any location where flush mounting is possible, and their grilles can be painted to match your décor using any type of interior or exterior paint. A paint shield is included to protect the speakers during the painting process.
These speakers are also available without the variable tweeter control. Pairs of in-ceiling speakers are also available in a 5.25-inch and an 8-inch version without the extra features. For stereo sound from a single in-ceiling speaker, try the 6.5-inch or 8-inch Dual Voice Coil Ceiling Speaker.
A Rough-In Kit for 6.5-inch In-Ceiling Speakers is available for new-construction or remodeled homes. This pair of frames attaches to ceiling joists to act as space-holders for your in-ceiling speakers for accurate placement in the ceiling.
