Essential Info
The Maestro 600W 3-Way Kit makes full-range dimming possible from up to ten locations in your home. The Kit includes the main dimmer and one companion switch. Additional Companion Switches (up to 10 locations total) can be added. LEDs show preset light level when the switch is off and lights fade up and down smoothly allowing your eyes to adjust to changing light levels. Ten second fade-to-off (press & hold switch) lets you leave the room before the lights go out and it uses standard 3-way wiring for easy installation and retrofit. Maestro dimmers contain an Advanced Programming Mode [APM] to allow the user to customize their control to meet their specific needs. From this mode, the user can set "on" Fade time, "off" fade time, or a locked/unlocked preset. The locked/unlocked allows the user to set the dimmer to either always turn on to the same level or to have it return to the level previously used.

Preset Options: Maestro dimmers provide two options for the preset light level on the dimmer: locked preset and unlocked preset. When programmed for a locked preset, the dimmer will turn on to the predetermined 'locked' level when the dimmer is turned on with a single tap of the tap button. When programmed for unlocked, the dimmer will turn on to the light level that it was adjusted to the previous time that the light was on.
Fade-On Time: Maestro dimmers allow users to adjust how quickly the lights fade up when the dimmer is turned on. These options include fade times from off to maximum light output in as fast as 0.5 seconds and as slow as 5 seconds. Quicker fade times may be more practical and slower fade times more elegant.
Fade-Off Time: Maestro dimmers allow users to adjust how quickly the lights fade down when the dimmer is turned off. These options include fade times from maximum light output to 'Off' as fast as 1.5 seconds and as slow as 15 seconds. Having the lights fade off slowly allows you to exit the room or cross to the bed while the lights are still on.
