The 8-Day Autopetfeeder is an automatic programmable pet feeder that holds over 96 ounces of food separated in eight different compartments, so you can schedule feedings at the same time daily or at multiple times each day. Since it has room for ice packs below the feeder dish, you can feel safe in leaving wet canned pet food in the automatic pet feeder, as well. The 8-Day Autopetfeeder is powered by three AA batteries (sold separately).

    Program this automatic pet feeder to open compartments at your chosen times. You can record a message to your pet for the Autopetfeeder to play back at meal times. This system is ideal for pets on medication, since it will deliver your specified dosage at the same time each day.

    COMPARTMENTS WERE OUT OF ALIGNMENT AND DID NOT ROTATE. PARTS WERE NOT GOOD QUALITY.

    It is a great feeder for my cat, who waits patiently for it to move for the next dry food meal. FYI: Setting the timer can be tricky. Customers need to be aware that the timers need to be the same time for each day/#1 and #2 timer needs to be the same times as #3 and #4 and so on. Good luck and enjoy!

    Works good. Cold packs only stay cold for a few hours. I need something that stays cold for a couple days. Wish they could make an insulated one so it would stay cold longer.

    I had to send to the manufacturer for a new timer because it was defective. Then the cover didn't align properly and it is IMPOSSIBLE to remove the screws to realign. This is my second unit. I didn't have any problems with the first.

    The feeder worked as advertised. The instructions were a bit unclear. I managed to get the feeder working after playing with it for a while.

    Great concept, big design flaw. Can feed for 8 days, but only dry. Canned food can only be for 24 hrs, as that is how long the frozen gel packs stay cold.

    It does not work. I found out as i was filling it one night that it had never opened in the morning!! Poor cats! Any suggestions?

    Works okay. However, it is impractical for more than a day or so of feeding, because the ice packs melt about that time. If you use this with canned food, the food will go rancid (and be really smelly!) after about two days. Would work fine for shorter feeding periods. (By the way, the directions are inadequate, although I figured it out without much problem.) Considering you can't use this for more than a day or so at a time (again, assuming you're feeding canned food), I think it's too pricey.

    Ice packs melt in about 8-10 hours. Recording & playback functions waste battery life and playback is only audible the first 2 times feeder rotates on a given set of batteries - although the feeder will continue to operate correctly many days with a set of batteries even though the playback audio can't be understood. And top rotates rather than the base, so make sure it is in an open area. I would not recommend this device for multiple day use unless you re-freeze the ice packs daily, or only use it for dry food.

    Helpful for a busy professional who loves her cats! Two problems with the product: 1) The turntable does is touchy and requires that the screw be screwed in just so. 2) For some reason, it is easy to tape over the recorded message; twice I have found that I recorded over my orignal message and never even intended to do that.
