Once the pan is placed on the cooktop little energy is wasted as the heat is transferred directly to the pan. Because the Induction Cooktop is able to heat up the pan so quickly and efficiently much less energy is used and when a pan is lifted off the device the zones in use stop heating immediately. A conventional oven stove top can use as much as 60% more energy than an Induction Cooktop.
